The High Density Equipment Panel

The High Density Equipment Panel (HDEP) is engineered to address data center

needs of today and tomorrow. A true break from traditional cable management

thinking, the HDEP seamlessly supports 10/40/100 GbE migration and deployment

of TE's highly agile 24-Fiber MPOptimate System. With its unique `s-tray' design,

the HDEP provides faster, more uniform installation, quicker Day Two moves, adds

and changes, and an unprecedented balance of ﬂexibility, simplicity and smart

economics.

FEATURES

• Improved rack eciency – Up to 144 ﬁbers per 1RU for duplex LC

connections and up to 1152 ﬁbers per 1RU in a 24-ﬁber MPO format

• 10/40/100 Gigabit Ethernet compatible – support 24-ﬁber trunks, the

fundamental building block of the 10/40/100 Gigabit Ethernet system migration

• Chassis feature a unique pivoting cable support mechanism that

contains cables and assures proper bend radii through the entire

travel of the management trays. Cable binding and tangling is

greatly reduced relative to existing sliding tray formats

• Extended depth chassis and extensive tray travel greatly enhance

the freedom of access to individual connectors, even at the rear

of the chassis, and even when the chassis is mounted directly

above switches or servers or at the top of a cabinet

• High Performance – Compatible with TE’s low loss MPOptimate system

• Improves pathway eciency – Compatible with 24-ﬁber

trunks which save space relative to 12-ﬁber trunks
